Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials will meet with Florida Power Corporation management in Crystal River, Florida, on Friday, March 21, to discuss issues related to the company's recovery efforts at the Crystal River nuclear power plant.

The meeting will be open to observation by interested members of the public and the press.

NRC regional administrator Luis A. Reyes will hold a press conference immediately following the management meeting to discuss with news media representatives NRC regulatory issues related to Crystal River. He will also be available to answer questions on other nuclear issues of mutual interest.

Both the MANAGEMENT MEETING and PRESS CONFERENCE will be held in Room 137 at the PLANT TRAINING CENTER, located at 8200 W. VENABLE STREET in CRYSTAL RIVER. The management meeting is scheduled from 12:00 noon until 2:30 p.m. with the news conference immediately following.

EDITORS: This meeting location is away from the Crystal River energy complex north of town. It is in the company's training center, located on West Venable Street, just off U.S. Highway 19, south of town. Turn onto Venable at the Crystal River airport and proceed approximately 1/2 mile to the training center.
