NOTE: Orbiter/external tank mating close-outs continue and interface testing begins today. Work to design and fabricate the clamps that will help securely fasten the "pyro can" and base plate assemblies in Atlantis' aft compartment continues. A fit check of the fabricated parts is slated for Friday and installation should occur early next week. Roll out is scheduled for Friday morning, but could be earlier if work continues ahead of schedule.
The Spacehab module arrived at pad 39A today at about 2:30 a.m. Transfer of Spacehab to the payload change-out room is in work this morning.
STS-84 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Hypergol deservicing activities are complete. Columbia's forward reaction control system was transferred to the Hypergol Maintenance Facility yesterday and thruster replacement is in work. The forward reaction control system should return to the OPF in early May to be reinstalled into the orbiter. Spacelab reservicing activities continue.
While left booster joint close-outs continue, today the right aft center segment will join the right aft segment already in the VAB. Mating of the two segments is slated for Wednesday.
STS-83R SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: Inspections on Discovery's water spray boiler are complete and forward reaction control system installation is slated for Wednesday. Payload premate activities continue through this week.
STS-85 SCHEDULED OPERATIONAL MILESTONES (dates are target only):
NOTE: The Space Shuttle Endeavour arrived in OPF bay 3 at about 7 p.m. last night. Technicians will gain access to the orbiter's forward and aft compartments today and begin preparations to open the payload bay doors tomorrow. The "pyro can" bolt holes and assembly plates in Endeavour's aft compartment will be inspected to determine if any deformation exists.
