Benefits Paid by Type of Beneficiary

Monthly benefits are payable from the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) and Disability Insurance (DI) Trust Funds for certain types of beneficiaries. The number of beneficiaries and their average benefit amount are available through one of the two forms below. Before continuing, you may want to see a brief description of the available benefit types.

Data are available for 1967 and later.

Report for a selected month
You select a month, and we provide a report listing the number of beneficiaries and their average monthly benefit, by type of beneficiary, as of the end of the month.

Time series report
You select a type, or types, of beneficiary, and we provide a time series of the number of beneficiaries and their average monthly benefit.

Selecting more than one type causes the data to be combined for the selected types. If you make no selection, we will provide data on all beneficiaries.
