Description:
This 32-page booklet is designed to raise awareness among health care professionals about primary immunodeficiency, a group of about 70 disorders that result when the immune system is faulty and cannot fight infection. The booklet describes these conditions, their causes, their symptoms, and their treatments and describes some of the methods used to treat them. The booklet resulted from a collaboration between the NICHD and the Jeffrey Modell Foundation.
