Call for Nominations for the AIHA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors plays a critical role at AIHA.  The Board is the “face” of the Association.  It establishes the direction and goals of the Association and monitors progress toward reaching those goals on behalf of the membership.

Who would you like to see leading AIHA?

During the first quarter of 2009, the annual on-line election will be held to fill AIHA Board of Directors positions to be vacated in June 2009.  Open positions will be for vice president, treasurer-elect, and three directors.

Board nominations must be submitted by November 1, 2008. Electronic nomination forms can be mailed, faxed (703-207-7366) or emailed to nominations@aiha.org. Board nominations forms are available here.

AIHA Blog Offers Forum for OEHS Professionals

Do you have a topic you wish to discuss or an insight you wish to share? The AIHA blog provides a forum for you to discuss non-technical IH and OEHS topics including (but not limited to) the future of profession, innovative ideas, issues facing the profession today, ethics, social concerns and the association in general. As part of the effort, the blog features several distinct voices from various parts of the OEHS community.

The new blog already highlights ethical issues, career development, useful products, and kudos to AIHA members. Some bloggers are asking for your help and comments on these issues.

If you are interested in participating in the blog, you can comment on any of the posts or contact Caron Mason at cmason@aiha.org to learn more on how to become an AIHA blogger.
