1PHS 398 (Rev. 5/01), Section V.B.8, Research Training Program Plan, under Trainee Candidates, paragraph 3, "Prospective [and current] predoctoral trainees. In a table…."
2This table illustrates the educational background and credentials of the predoctoral students identified with the training program. Variations of this table may serve as well. For example, a renewal application for a large training grant might list only students who have actually received support from the grant; an application for a new grant might include all of the predoctoral students in the major participating departments. The title of the table should identify the student "population" included.
3Students may be identified by numbers, rather than by names, to safeguard privacy. Designate students who are eligible for training grant support (based on citizenship or permanent residency status) with an asterisk (*) and identify underrepresented minority students with a dagger (†).
4This column for renewal applications only.
