Over the past few years, A.D.A.M. has spent millions of dollars updating its content. We plan to continue to invest our resources to ensure the highest medical standards are met. A.D.A.M.'s Content Review Board (CRB) consists of Dr. Alan Greene, A.D.A.M.'s Chief Medical Officer; in-house editorial staff; the A.D.A.M. medical illustration team; and medical specialists affiliated with leading institutions across the country.

Meet our editorial team:

Alan Greene, M.D., Chief of Future Health
Dr. Greene is the Chief of Future Health of A.D.A.M. and the Co-Founder of DrGreene.com. He is on the Clinical Faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine where he treats patients and teaches Residents. Dr. Greene is also Intel's Internet Health Hero for children's health. He is an author, medical expert, and a media personality.

Dr. Greene earned his Bachelor's degree in the History and Philosophy of Science from Princeton University. He graduated from medical school at University of California at San Francisco. Upon completion of his pediatric residency program at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Northern California in 1993, he went on to serve as Chief Resident. During his Chief year, Dr. Greene passed the pediatric boards in the top 5 percent of the nation.

Dr. Greene is President of Hi-Ethics, Inc. (or Health Internet Ethics), the non-profit organization formed to address privacy, advertising and content quality issues for Internet health consumers. He is also serving as the Chair of the Hi-Ethics Quality WorkGroup - developing Version 2.0 of the Hi-Ethics principles.

Dr. Greene has appeared in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Parenting, Child, Baby Talk, Woman's World, Better Home's & Gardens, and Reader's Digest. He also appears frequently on television and radio shows as a medical expert. He is especially interested in developmental issues that surround child rearing.

David Zieve, M.D., M.H.A., Medical Director
Dr. Zieve joined A.D.A.M. to help set new industry standards for evidence-based health content. Dr. Zieve has a unique background in delivering innovative, evidence-based health information. Prior to joining A.D.A.M., Dr. Zieve served as editor and product manager at Milliman Care Guidelines. Milliman is considered the industry standard for independently developed and produced evidence-based clinical guidelines used in a variety of web-based case management applications in hospitals, insurance companies, and case management agencies. While at Milliman, Dr. Zieve was responsible for creating and overseeing two key products, the Ambulatory Care Guidelines and the Chronic Care Guidelines. These products, containing hundreds of authorization guidelines, evidence summaries, nursing care plans, and patient instructions, are widely viewed in the healthcare industry as a standard of evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Zieve is Board Certified in Family Practice and has received an M.H.A. from the University of Washington. He practiced for over 15 years and has broad experience in the managed care industry.

David R. Eltz, Editorial Director
David is an award-winning journalist who has covered the health industry for nearly a decade. He was the previous Group Director for Belvoir Media Group, where he oversaw 11 monthly consumer health newsletters, including Massachusetts General Hospital's Mind, Mood & Memory and The Cleveland Clinic Men's Health Advisor. He has written for numerous magazines, including Pitt Med and I.D. David holds a degree in journalism from California University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the National Association of Science Writers.
