The Milk Matters campaign offers a number of free publications and materials about the importance of calcium for children and teens. Some of these items are geared toward parents, some toward children and teens, and some toward health care professionals. It explains to health care providers the importance of making sure young people ages 11 to 18 get enough calcium to build strong bones and teeth that will last a lifetime. The fact sheet lists how much calcium young people need, presents strategies for including calcium in the day's diet, and suggests other ways to help patients get the build strong bones and teeth.
