If you look for your topic and it isn't there, look for a more general topic. Or, use the MedlinePlus search, found at the top of each MedlinePlus page, to look for your topic.
For example, if you are looking for information on mosquito bites:
- try the Insect Bites and Stings page; or
- type the word mosquito into the Search box; the results of the search will lead you to the Insect Bites and Stings page and specific links about mosquitoes.
Sometimes there isn't enough quality Web-based information on a topic for MedlinePlus to cover it.
Use the Medical Encyclopedia to find more information.
