In an effort to combat the current obesity epidemic facing the state and Los
Angeles County
(report), Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger introduced the
California Obesity Prevention Plan: A Vision for Tomorrow, Strategic Actions
for Today.
The plan lays out steps needed to address the epidemic through a
collaborative effort of private and public sectors. The plan takes on an
all-inclusive approach and identifies strategies on how to increase healthy
eating and physical activity.
