Lesson 13: Subject: Creative Writing Essay

Objective: The learner will create an essay describing a flight and the view from their plane.

Time: Approximately 2 days.

Materials:

Paper

Pencil or Pen

Journal if applicable

Rubric

Procedure:

1. Students will begin brainstorming, utilizing the complete writing process to initiate and complete this activity.

2. Students will:

create a fictional essay about a plane trip over their city

describe the view from their plane

map the course of travel

list sights of interest such as, important buildings, tourist attractions

include weather conditions

write a detailed description of their plane

determine duration of trip

include character sketches of passengers on the trip.

Evaluation: Based on the Rubric.
