36C Approved Permissible diesel-powered equipment manufactured on or after
November 25, 1999...

36C Approved Permissible Diesel-Powered Equipment

Permissible diesel-powered equipment manufactured on or after November 25, 1999, and used in an underground coal mine must be provided with an approved power package and with other safety features such as a fire suppression system and a supplemental brake system. Manufacturers have begun to apply for and receive approval for machines that meet these requirements. The following machine has been approved by MSHA.
