Employee
Assistance Program Available
The
recent attack on the United States has affected each of us,
both directly and indirectly. In the aftermath of these tragedies,
we are all struggling to cope with the reactions we are experiencing,
physically, emotionally, and spiritually. NASA GSFC has resources
available to help employees and their family members cope
with this tragedy. Specifically, COPE, Incorporated, the Employee
Assistance Program at GSFC has on-site professionals who are
specially trained in grief counseling and are available to
assist employees who have been impacted by this event. EAP
professionals can be contacted at X6-4600 to arrange for confidential
consultation. You can visit the COPE web site at: www.cope-inc.com/support.
For general information related to coping with tragedy and
extreme or post-traumatic stress, please see the web site
for the National Institute of Mental Health of the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) at http://www.nimh.nih.gov/anxiety/
