The Acquisition Services Directorate is committed to providing the highest level of service while complying with Federal contracting rules. We deliver value to Federal agency clients throughout the entire acquisition process.

Federal managers have many demands placed upon them every day. They contend with limited resources, time constraints, agency internal and external client expectations, and congressional oversight. The Acquisition Services Directorate strives to provide excellent customer service and response time to our customers. We established Procurement Acquisition Lead Time (PALT) goals for the fiscal year to ensure we are providing a timely response. The PALT timeline starts when our contracting office receives a complete acquisition package and begins the formal process to prepare the solicitation. The PALT timeline concludes when an award is made. Below are the Directorate goals for PALT average time (in days) for six types of contracts and the actual average time achieved (in days) for Fiscal Year 2008.
