CLINTON COUNTY, IA NATIONAL COMPENSATION SURVEY,
                             JULY 2006

The Clinton County, IA National Compensation Survey (NCS)
summary is now available. The survey includes wage data for 13
occupational groups with additional detail for occupations within
selected groups. Wages are available by worker characteristics
including full-time or part-time status, union or nonunion status,
and time or incentive pay. Average rates of pay are available for
levels of work within an occupation based on knowledge, job
controls and complexity, contacts, and physical environment. In
all, two tables of data are included in the Clinton County
publication.

The July 2006 Clinton County pay survey incorporates the
   following changes:

    1. The Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system and
the 2002 North American Industry Classification System
       (NAICS)

    2. An expanded scope of establishments, lowering the minimum
establishment size for private industry from 50 workers to 1
       worker

    3. Imputation for temporary non-response situations

    4. Benchmarking of estimated employment

    5. Redesigned tables, to reflect the new classification
system and to emphasize work levels
