Application procedures for Special Use Permits:

Parades, Block Parties, Fun Runs, Commercials, etc.
These permits should be applied for at least sixty (60) days prior to the event:

This permit is requested in the form of a letter. The content of the request should include the following information:

  • Applicant's name, address and phone number.
  • The proposed purpose.
  • The date and time of the event.
  • Two (2) copies of a map showing the location of the proposed use.
  • A certificate of insurance naming King County as an additional insured maybe required, if applicable.

NOTE: If the activity is a repeat of a previous permit, the applicant need only to call Real Estate Services at (206) 296-7456. Should the location change (adding more streets or a different location, etc), then the applicant should proceed as if this is a new application.
