EDGARLink Filer Manual (Vol I-III) Rel 9.0

Effective June 6, 2005, the EDGAR system will be upgraded to Release 9.0 to support the amended rules and forms adopted by the Commission to address the registration, disclosure and reporting requirements for asset-backed securities under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. See Release No. 33-8518 (December 22, 2004) [70 FR 1506].

Specifically, the EDGAR Release 9.0 asset-backed securities filing support includes:

• Adding new submission form types 10-D, 10-D/A, NT 10-D and NT 10-D/A;
   
• Adding new exhibits 33, 34 and 35;
   
• Adding new Form 8-K items 6.01, 6.02, 6.03, 6.04 and 6.05;
   
• The capability to allow depositors to request the creation of EDGAR access codes for issuing entities from the EDGAR Filing and the OnlineForms websites;
   
• The ability for issuing entities to file a prospectus filed pursuant to Rule 424 as their first filing as a co-registrant with the depositor by providing their own CIK, CCC and “NEW” as the file number in the co-registrant fields; and,
   
• The allowance of Form 8-K and Form 8-A to be submitted as an issuing entities first filing.

Other changes include:

• Suspending submissions if any of its attached files are empty (0 bytes);
   
• An upgrade to the EDGAR Filing website, the OnlineForms website and the Filer Management website to support the latest version of the Netscape browser (Netscape 7.x) and drop support for outdated Netscape 4.0x through 4.7 browsers; and,

EDGARLink Filer Manual (Vol I) Rel 9.0

N-SAR Supplement Filer Manual (Vol II) Rel 9.0
Effective Date: June 6, 2005

Procedures for filing the Form N-SAR, the Semi-Annual Report for Registered Investment Companies have not changed, nor has the application. The EDGAR Release 9.0 N-SAR Supplement Filer Manual (Volume II) has only been updated slightly for release numbering consistency. This manual is for use with version 6.1a of the N-SAR application.

OnlineForms Filer Manual (Vol III) Rel 9.0
Effective Date: June 6, 2005

The EDGAR Release 9.0 OnlineForms Filer Manual (Volume III) explains the process for creating and submitting documents over the Internet using the EDGAR OnlineForms Website (https://www.onlineforms.edgarfiling.sec.gov). The manual contains information regarding what forms (ownership reports) can be filed using this website. The OnlineForms Website will verify filer identification, check that required information is present, and allow filers or their agents, to transmit online submissions to EDGAR for dissemination to the public.
