The State/Federal Services Team provides national policy and oversight for NOAA Fisheries' interactions with 30 coastal states and island territories/commonwealths, 3 Interstate Marine Fisheries Commissions, and national groups.

The Team implements and oversees the distribution of grants for two national (Interjurisdictional Fisheries Act, Anadromous Fish Conservation Act) and two regional (Atlantic Coastal Fisheries Cooperative Management Act, Atlantic Striped Bass Conservation Act) programs.

The Team, based in Silver Spring, Md., works closely with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission to develop and implement cooperative State-Federal fisheries regulations, under the Atlantic Striped Bass Conservation Act and the Atlantic Coastal Fisheries Cooperative Management Act.
