Wet Squeeze

A squeeze, also known as a low beta squeeze, is the manipulation of quadrupole magnet currents and separators at B0 and D0 that brings the proton and antiproton beams together to collide. A good squeeze results in the potential for a higher rate of collisions. (A dry squeeze is the manipulation of magnet currents that would cause particle collisions if there were beams to collide. A wet squeeze does the same thing as a dry squeeze except it usually contains only protons.)
