Resources for Users

Safety Video
All Users are required to watch the Fermilab Safety Video, "Now A Few Words About Safety," before obtaining an ID card.

ID Cards
Each user at Fermilab must register with the Users' Office and apply for an ID card in person. An ID number is required in order to obtain a Fermilab computer account. All Users must come to the Users Office to complete the forms and obtain a photo ID. The application form for a Visitor ID is available online: http://www.fnal.gov/pub/forphysicists/users/vid.html. More information about applying for a Fermilab ID card can be found at: http://www.fnal.gov/pub/forphysicists/users/memo.html

Apply for Computing Privileges
In order to obtain computing privileges at Fermilab, you must have a valid Fermilab ID number. If you are not on site, you may download the application for a Visitor ID online, and contact the Users' Office for more information. All applicants must read and sign the Fermilab Policy on Computing. Laboratory management requires Visitor IDs to be validated by the visitor's experiment or Division/Section. Please note that the Visitor ID is not the same thing as an ID card. Your Visitor ID will only give you access to Fermilab's computers. The Visitor ID will not give you access to the Fermilab site.
