Energy Awareness Month 2008: Working to Secure A Clean Energy Future Each year for Energy Awareness Month—October—FEMP provides materials and ideas to help promote energy-saving practices at Federal facilities. Materials include posters and other outreach materials that carry FEMP's energy awareness message.

HOPE VI Projects Recognized for "Green" Practices - On June 27, 2008 the City of Jersey City recognized four local development projects for sustainable building practices in their first annual “Green Building Awards” ceremony. Along with three private developers, the Jersey City Housing Authority received a Green Building Award for two of its Lafayette Gardens HOPE VI family developments – Woodward Terrace and Pacific Court Townhouses.
