Efforts If you'd like to add to the listing provided below or update any of the existing efforts summaries, you may contact us using the "Comment on This Page" mailto link that appears below the menu on the left side of this page. However, we encourage you to consider using the ET.gov site and process instead. If you choose to do so, please categorize your XML-related submissions under the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Technical Reference Model (TRM) by using the fields in the Technical Standards section of the Component Information form.

The mapping of XML in the TRM is as follows: Service Area - Service Interface & Integration | Service Category - Interoperability | Service Standard - Data Format/Classification | Service Specification - eXtensible Markup Language

A Help link is also provided on the form. While categorization under the TRM as well as the FEA Service Component Reference Model (SRM) is optional, doing so will facilitate discovery of ET components through enhanced, faceted search services such as that provided by i411. See, for example, i411's selective search on the XML facet of the TRM.

Likewise, use of the Submitter Information form is optional, to save .gov folks from being spammed. However, submitters are encouraged to use at least a few of the elements on that form to enable others with common interests to contact them via their preferred means.

Finally, please note while the forms on the ET.gov site generate valid XML instance documents, those documents are not directly stored on the site itself. Instead, submitters must post them elsewhere on the Web and provide the URL, using the Register XML Instance form. However, the xmlCoP will be happy to host on the xml.gov site XML-related submissions by .gov folks. If you'd like for us to do so, just let us know.
