This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-22. The solicitation number is Q9512080112, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 212321 with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. This solicitation will result in an award of a firm, fixed-price contract.

The National Park Service has a requirement for a single contractor to supply and deliver approximately 700 tons of 1 inch crushed gravel. DESCRIPTION/ SPECIFICATIONS: Gravel must meet the WSDOT 2008 specifications for Crushed Rock Surfacing for Roads and Bridges. The WSDOT 2008 specifications are available on the internet at the following website address: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/publications/manuals/M41-10.htm. The contractor will be responsible for bunching the stockpile with each delivery to prevent as much as is practicable material loss and minimize the stockpile footprint. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Delivery needs to be made between mid-September 2008 and mid-October 2008, starting as soon as possible after receiving the notice of award. The contractor shall supply copies of weight/quarry tickets showing the type of material, quantity, delivery date, and contract number attached to corresponding invoices. LOCATION: The stockpile location is at the Staircase Recreational Site trailhead parking lot, approximately 17 miles west of Hoodsport on Route 119. The stockpile location can accommodate delivery using a truck and transfer pup. PRICE SCHEDULE: unit price of $__________ per ton, delivered (700 tons).

Award will be made on the basis of "best value" to the contractor that the Government determines can best satisfy the objectives and requirements of this Request for Quotations, in a manner most advantageous to the Government. The government reserves the right to make award without discussions.
