With this announcement, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Chicago District issues this Pre-Solicitation Notice for Des Plaines River, Illinois Local Flood Protection Floodwall 37, River Road/Milwaukee Avenue, Prospect Heights and Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois. Under the Contract the Contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary facilities, plants, labor, transportation, materials, and equipment to place approximately 8130 Linear Feet (LF) of earthen levee and floodwall, three (3) pump stations, ten (10) sewer outlet closures, one (1) backflow structure, a raised driveway and a swing gate and other associated work items. The classification Code for this procurement is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 237990, with a Small Business Standard size of $31 Million. Competition for this acquisition is RESTRICTED TO ELIGIBLE 8(a) BUSINESS FIRMS. The Corps of Engineers intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The estimated price range for this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.
