Blood Donor and Bone Marrow Program - NSA/CSS is the number one producer of whole blood units in the Greater Chesapeake & Potomac Region. The American Red Cross depends heavily on NSA/CSS to provide a consistent supply of fresh blood to support our communities. NSA/CSS hosts four blood donor programs: Whole Blood, sponsored by the American Red Cross; Hemapheresis, sponsored by the Walter Reed Army Medical Center; Organ & Tissue, sponsored by the Transplant Resource Center of Maryland; and Bone Marrow Screening, sponsored by the C.W. Bill Young Marrow Donor Program.

Combined Federal Campaign - NSA/CSS sponsors the Combined Federal Campaign annually between the 1st of September and the 15th of December. The CFC is an avenue where NSA/CSS provides employees the opportunity to reach out and touch the lives of those in need. Contributions are both Federal and State tax-deductible for those who itemize their tax returns. The CFC is a yearly event that NSA supports.

Mathematics Education - The Mathematics Education Partnership Program (MEPP) is a NSA/CSS outreach program to promote mathematics and science education.

Partners in Education - The NSA/CSS "Partners in Education" program is a collaboration between NSA/CSS and three local schools. Today, the program has over 350 volunteers who help repair school equipment, install and maintain computers, mentor students, and sponsor a variety of activities.

Recycling Program - The NSA/CSS Recycling Program is focused on protecting the environment and provides other benefits for NSA/CSS employees. NSA/CSS recycles aluminum cans, newspaper, office paper, plastic, cardboard, shrink wrap, wooden pallets, fluorescent bulbs, lead acid batteries, used computer and electronic equipment, scrap metal and cables, construction and demolition debris, and precious metals from printed circuit boards and microchips.
