The House Subcommittee on Federal Workforce, Postal Service and the District of Columbia will hold a hearing on the D.C. Water and Sewer Authority (DCWASA). The hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 2:30 p.m., in Room 2154 of the Rayburn House Office Building.
The hearing will examine DCWASA related issues ranging from the agency’s proposed capital improvement projects to developments in drinking water quality, service delivery, environmental protection and agency governance.
DCWASA is charged with the responsibility of providing drinking water distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment services to the District of Columbia and wholesale wastewater treatment services to certain Maryland and Virginia suburban jurisdictions.
