The primary care provider in this role will offer Primary Care services in the specialty of Family practice which includes treating patients with serious or prolonged illness and the recognition of conditions which require referral even when they are difficult to discern or identify. He/she will work closely with allied health professionals (i.e. Community Health Nurse, Social Workers, Substance Abuse Specialist (LADC) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW’S). These clinical services will be provided to eligible clients of the Houlton Band Of Maliseet. The candidate must have a non-restricted medical license, or nurse practitioner license and a Federal Narcotics DEA number. The candidate must be eligible to enroll as a Participating Provider for Medicare, Medicaid and other third party payer insurance programs.
This tribal community is located within the town limits of Houlton, which is the County seat of Aroostook County. The Tribal has its own unique culture and graciously embraces others.
