Notes:  
This new PA position will provide inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services, including patient H&P's, treatments, medications, surgical procedures, pre-op and post-op care, etc., under the supervision of a licensed general surgeon. The Surgical PA will be under the direct supervision of the Chief of General Surgery.

You will see a variety of patients, including adult, pediatric and geriatric in a clinic setting, performing routine medical assessments and treatments. Must document all activities in accordance with established policies and protocols. You will occasionally make hospital patient rounds with physician and/or independently to monitor patient's current condition.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
1. Completion of an ARC-PA approved program.
2. Must demonstrate successful completion of the PANCE.
3. Must hold valid licensure or temporary authorization to practice as a PA.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two to four years experience in a surgical practice. However, the right PA candidate who demonstrates a strong desire to learn and work in surgery will benefit from our Chief of Surgery who taught at a major teaching hospital prior to joining our health system.

You can anticipate a competitive salary. In addition, as a member of the medical staff, this PA position will also receive three weeks paid vacation and additional sick leave time with unlimited accrual. Employee benefits include medical/dental insurance at no cost to the employee and family coverage for $25 a month, 401K with 5% matching, annual incentive program, vision insurance as well as a pharmacy card which provides generic drugs for free and brand-name drugs for only $10. Interview and relocation expenses are paid. Oklahoma license required within 60 days of start date; however, cost is reimbursed.
