The Office of Family Assistance, Division of Tribal TANF Management is responsible for two programs: the Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the Native Employment Works Program (NEW). Both programs were authorized under the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996.
