Description
The National Quality Forum was created in 1999 as a private, not-for-profit, public benefit corporation whose mission is to develop and implement national strategy for healthcare quality measurement and public reporting. It does so chiefly through the endorsement of performance measures through a formal Consensus Development Process that leads to Voluntary Consensus Standards, which carry special legal status.
