Description

The American Society for Microbiology was founded in 1899 with a membership of 59 scientists. Today the Society boasts a membership of over 40,000 members, located throughout the world. ASM represents 24 disciplines of microbiological specialization plus a division for microbiology educators. Membership benefits include a subscription to ASM News; member rates for meetings, workshops and audio conferences, for ASM journals, and for selected ASM Press titles; and health and life insurance policies.
