Description
The Hospice Education Institute is a nonprofit organization that serves health and caring professionals and the general public. The Institute provides information about hospices and palliative care services, care for the terminally ill, bereavement counseling, and support and general information about death and dying. The Institute maintains a toll-free "Hospicelink" line which provides callers with the names and addresses of hospice and palliative care programs throughout the U.S. and answers questions about caring for the dying and the bereaved. It also maintains continuing education programs for health and caring professionals; and cooperative education programs on hospice care for high schools, colleges, and civic groups.
