Description
The National Pediculosis Association (NPA) is the only nonprofit, tax-exempt health education agency working to reduce the rising number of head lice cases among American school children and their families. The Association tries to change the way people and institutions deal with lice control by distributing prevention packets and literature, providing consultative services, acting as a consumer advocate, operating a telephone hotline, and sponsoring National Pediculosis Prevention Month in September. The NPA offers a combing device called a Lice Meister® Comb and the Lice Meister® Head Lice and Nit Removal Kit providing non chemical alternatives for higher risk populations. Included in the kit is a LiceMeister Comb, teaching video in both English and Spanish, hair clips, comb cleaners, instructional materials and stickers for the kids.
