Description

The Wilson's Disease Association is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to give aid and support to victims of Wilson's disease and related disorders of copper metabolism, such as Menkes' disease. The Association puts families affected by these rare genetic diseases in touch with one another for mutual support. It also disseminates information to legislators and public officials supporting increased research on these diseases and the orphan drugs that could treat them. Funding for the Association comes from membership fees and donations.
