The Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) is an organization for supporting patients living with from gluten-sensitive diseases (celiac disease, dermatitis herpetiformis, and gluten intolerances), in order to live health lives. The Group is administered by health care professionals who are able to advise its members on diet. The Group holds provides education materials at no charge from its Web site and holds events such as education conferences. The Group disseminates information on celiac disease research, product and drug information, and advocacy efforts. Membership is by fee. GIG is a touchstone for researchers to gather patients and information on gluten intolerance. GIG affiliates are located throughout the states.
