Description

The Andrus Gerontology Center was established in 1964 as a special environment for training and research in human development and aging. The Center includes a research institute, a school of gerontology, and an institute for policy analysis. The research institute initiates and designs and executes research on the various aspects of aging and provides training in the biological and social sciences. The policy and program institute provides for the demonstration of the Center's research and training efforts and addresses policy issues and their implications. The School of Gerontology provides undergraduate and graduate training, including Masters and Ph.D. programs of professional personnel in the field of aging. The Center's circulating library houses research materials related to life-span development and aging.

Print Resources

The Center does not publish its own materials. However, individual investigators and researchers publish monographs, institute proceedings, research reports, occasional papers and bibliographies relating to aging and to providing services to older persons.
