Description
The Iowa Department of Public Health exists to promote, protect, and ensure the health and well-being of Iowans and to provide for access, quality, and affordability of health care services. The Department seeks to achieve its goal through the following divisions: Family and Community Health; Health Protection; Substance Abuse and Health Promotion; and Planning and Administration. The examining boards for Dental, Medical, Nursing, and Pharmacy operate independently under the supervision of the Department.
