Description

The California Department of Public Health was established by Senate Bill 162 on July 1, 2007 within the existing Health and Human Services Agency. The goals of the California Department of Public Health are to improve access to quality public health services, to improve health outcomes and to reduce health care costs through prevention with services such as disease screenings and vaccinations, and patient safety initiatives.
