Compliance Overview

 Information by State

HUD and other Federal agencies that comprise the Federal Government only conduct business with responsible persons and entities. In order to protect the public interest, the Government has put in place a variety of compliance sanctions that exclude individuals and entities, who are involved in criminal activity or serious program violations, from participating in Government programs. These sanctions include suspensions, debarments, or Limited Denials of Participation. All Federal agencies, including HUD, participate in a government-wide suspension/debarment system, which excludes these sanctioned individuals and entities from conducting further business with the Government. The General Services Administration (GSA), a Federal agency, is required to compile and maintain an up-to-date list of suspended or debarred individuals and entities. To find out more about this national listing system, see www.epls.gov.
