NOTE TO EDITORS:

A subcommittee of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting on April 29 in Rockville, Maryland.

The meeting, which will be open to public observation, will begin at 1:30 p.m. in Room T-2B1, of the NRC's One White Flint North Building at 11545 Rockville Pike. The Subcommittee on Planning and Procedures will discuss proposed ACRS activities and the qualification of candidates for appointment to ACRS.

Other aspects of the meeting, including an opportunity for public comment, will be described in a Notice of Meeting published in a forthcoming edition of the Federal Register.
