Description: WHOSIS is a guide to health and health-related epidemiological and statistical information available from the World Health Organization. Contains the following databases:

  • Core Health Indicators for 192 countries
  • Statistics from WHO Regional Offices
  • Statistics by country or region
  • Statistics by topic, disease or condition, including HIV/AIDS, drug information, immunization, health personnel, population, micronutrients, alcohol, maternal mortality, etc.
  • Burden of Disease statistics - Statistical measures relating to the burden of disease, including Healthy Life Expectancy (HALE); Life Expectancy; Discussion Papers.
  • Family of International Classifications - International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10), International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps (ICIDH).
