All King County District Court Divisions are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of the following Holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday (3rd Monday in January), President's Day (3rd Monday in February), Memorial Day (Last Monday of May), July 4, Labor Day (1st Monday in September), Veteran's Day (November 11), Thanksgiving and the day after, and Christmas Day. If filing for Domestic Violence or Anti-Harassment Petitions, it is best to appear in court as early as possible.

On June 17, 2002, the King County District Court instituted a phone bank and directed all division phone numbers to the phone bank. The phone bank is designed to give you, the caller, as much information as possible without speaking to a clerk. If after listening to the options, you may stay on the line or press * to get into the queue to speak to a clerk. At peak hours the queue may be busy and you will be requested to call again during a non-peak period.
