Where can you find full-text access to approximately 1 million scientific e-print documents? Where can you gain entry to more than 22,000 scientific Web sites organized by discipline, and link to more than 2,900 relevant scientific societies?

Visit the E-print Network. The E-print Network is rapidly approaching 1 million documents. The scientific and technical information for this vast, integrated communications hub was created by scientists and research engineers active in their respective fields. E-print Network is intended for use by other scientists, engineers, and students at advanced levels.

In addition, the E-print Network has a unique deep Web search capability that combines full-text searching through portable document format, or PDF, documents with a distributed search across e-print databases. An alert service option is available that can provide weekly updates on your science topics of interest.

E-prints are scientific or technical documents circulated electronically to facilitate peer exchange and scientific advancement. Included are pre-publication drafts of journal articles (preprints), scholarly papers, technical communications, or similar documents relaying research results among peer groups.

E-print Network contains e-prints in basic and applied sciences, primarily in physics, but also including subject areas such as chemistry, biology and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and other disciplines of interest to the Department of Energy.

E-print Network was developed by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Scientific and Technical Information.
