Scientific and Technical Information Program (STIP) – OSTI coordinates the Department-wide STI Program through an infrastructure that involves designated STI points of contact at the Operations and Field Offices and at the National laboratories and other contractor facilities.

The scientific and technical information resources below are accessible only to those who meet the necessary user access criteria. Access to publicly accessible scientific and technical information resources is available via the Key Databases and Resources page.

Science Research Connection (SRC) database, DOE and DOE Contractor Web site – SRC draws together scientific and technical information previously contained in the DOE Information Bridge (IB), the DOE Energy Citations Database (ECD), as well as additional STI available to the DOE community. With the launch of SRC, the DOE versions of IB and ECD are no longer available. SRC provides a variety of new capabilities and enhanced search options, including search result manipulation and taxonomy search tools. SRC also includes both domestic and worldwide energy information and is free of charge to users.

DOE Research and Development (R&D) Tracking System, DOE and DOE Contractor Web site – The Department's centrally managed database tracks key information on each R&D project sponsored or performed by DOE. The R&D Tracking System provides accountability for DOE's vast R&D investment and is used for a variety of needs including responding to the annual Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) data call.
