EEOS Director Vontell D. Frost-Tucker

Justice Management Division...Serving Justice - Securing Results

Vontell D. Frost-Tucker is Director of the Equal Employment Opportunity Staff for DOJ’s Justice Management Division. She is responsible for developing policy, methods, and procedures for the implementation of the EEO program throughout the Department and provides advice, technical assistance, and support to management officials and bureau EEO personnel.

Ms. Frost-Tucker previously served as the Director of Civil Rights for the Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration. In this position, she was the senior advisor to the Maritime Administrator on civil rights, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and cultural diversity. She was responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the agency’s national civil rights program, which included EEO and cultural diversity programs.

In that position, she designed a national training on Diversity, equal employment opportunity, and harassment issues, created a national employee outreach program, and restructured the agency’s successful mentoring program that was recognized by the Secretary of Transportation.

During her career, Ms. Frost-Tucker has served as a mediator, Federal Women’s Program Manager, EEO counselor and senior public affairs specialist. She was also certified to mediate cases in the General District Courts of the State of Virginia and in administrative cases at the Department of Transportation.

Ms. Frost-Tucker received a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Indiana University in 1988 and a Master of Business Administration, conferred with honors, from Strayer University in 1998. Ms. Frost-Tucker also wrote Conflict Resolution: Alternative Management Strategies.
