How to Apply and Track Your InformationApplications for the Albert Einstein
Distinguished Educator must be submitted on-line through the Department
of Energy’s Web-page dedicated to the Fellows program. Click
here for more information on application deadlines, interview dates,
and placement notification dates. To apply for an Einstein fellowship, use the ‘Apply’ link located on the floating navigation bar on the left side of your screen. The application is fully interactive in that an applicant may choose to fill out the application in a number of sessions. The application normally takes a minimum of four hours to complete. You will be able to track the progress of your application once it is submitted. This is particularly important since each applicant is required to have three recommendations before the application is considered complete. To find out the status of your application you will be asked to remember your password and access a "Status Page" web-site which holds the current status of your application. This site will list whether your application was received, what recommendations have been received and whether you have made it past a certain selection level. If you encounter any problems, such as the inability to submit an on-line application, this site will direct you to a page that lists solutions to Frequently Asked Questions.
