News from King County Department of Transportation
West Snoqualmie Valley Road project A project to replace a culvert underneath West Snoqualmie Valley Road northwest of Duvall has been delayed, and will not result in a lengthy road closure during September. The road was scheduled to be closed from Sept. 8 to Oct. 10 in the 18000 block while crews from the King County Road Services Division replaced the culvert. But, preliminary engineering work shows that relocating underground utilities near the project site would take more time than originally thought. The county is concerned that the work could not be done prior to the salmon spawning season, and that an ongoing lengthy detour would be a problem for local school transportation.
The project is expected to
be rescheduled for sometime during the summer of 2009. |
