U.S. and Japan US-J Fusion Physics Coordinating Committee (FPPC) held its annual meeting through televideo on March 4, Friday morning Washington time ( midnight Tokyo time).  There were 5 participants from the Japanese side (representing both Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute and the university programs) and nine managers from the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences.  The participants exchanged information on the status of fusion research in Japan and the U.S. , reviewed the status of scientific exchanges during the Japanese Fiscal Year of 2004 (April 2004 – March 2005), and finalized plans for the 2005 exchanges.  Of the 50 personnel exchanges and 22 workshops, about 85% were completed March 4, 2005
