Helen Hare, a resident of Connecticut, studies Economics at Oberlin College. Helen worked on the campaign and transition team of Mayor Adrian Fenty of Washington, DC. She initiated the Oberlin in DC Fund, which offers stipends to Oberlin students pursuing unpaid public service internships in DC. Helen tutors 1st graders in Oberlin, OH in reading and writing. Through policymaking and legal advocacy, Helen hopes to develop strategies to keep young people engaged and successful in school and work.
