Danielle, a native of Monroe, NC, studies public policy, economics, and urban studies and planning at UNC-Chapel Hill. She taught with Breakthrough Collaborative in Austin, TX, during her first college summer and researched the effects of apartheid on economic relations as a volunteer with the U.S. Department of Commerce in 2007. Danielle plans to spend her career in education law, addressing the socioeconomic injustices that thwart efforts to provide a quality public education to all students.
